Steps to FeedAssure™ Certification Step 1: Document and Implement Your Prerequisite Program (PRP) PRPs (also known as Good Manufacturing Practices) are a key component of any HACCP system. PRPs are designed to control the operational conditions within an establishment to allow for an environment that is favourable to the production of safe feed. PRPs address all of the food-safety related procedures that a mill must follow that do not directly involve the manufacturing of feed. FeedAssure™ has developed a customized set of PRPs specifically for the feed industry. These PRPs fall into six categories:
